Do I have to register to participate and how much does it cost?
A: Yes. Registration for either the 10k Run or 5k Run & Walk is $20.00 for youth (under the age of 18) and $35.00 for adults (18 years and older). Registering online prior to the event is the simplest and easiest way to register for the event. Register today!

Why should I collect pledges online?
A: Online fundraising is a highly effective and surprisingly simple way to fundraise. As well, online donations tend to be greater, and the costs associated with traditional fundraising methods (cash and cheques) are greatly reduced.

Simply create your own personalized fundraising page complete with your fundraising goal, a photo, as well as your “call to action” or reason for participating in the Easter Seals 10k, 5k Run & Walk. Then, send out an e-mail to all your friends, family members, colleagues and co-workers with a link to your personal fundraising page. Those who pledge you online will automatically receive their tax receipt via e-mail. Plus, you will not have to spend time collecting cash and cheques, filling out multiple pledge forms and ensuring that all donor information is correct. Most importantly, you will not have to wait in line on race morning to turn in your pledges. Simply show up and enjoy the Run!

How do I submit my cash and cheque pledges?
A: Bring all of your cash and cheque pledges and pledge forms with you on the day of the Run and hand them in at the Registration Area, just inside the east entrance to Upper Canada Mall. Please ensure that your pledge forms contain complete donor information for all pledges. Incorrect or missing information will prevent us from sending out a tax receipt to that donor.

How do I submit pledge money after Sunday, May 29, 2011?
A: We encourage everyone to hand in all of their pledge money on the day of the Run, however, any pledges that are collected after the event can be sent directly to the Easter Seals 10k Run, 5k Run & Walk. One Concorde Gate, Suite 700, Toronto, ON M3C 3N6. Please ensure that you include your pledge form with complete donor information for all pledges. Incorrect or missing information will prevent us from sending out a tax receipt to that donor. Please do not send cash through the mail. Instead, write a personal cheque in place of cash pledges.

Can I bring a stroller and/or my dog on the race course?
A: Yes, but please be courteous of other runners/walkers and start at the very back of the pack in order to not impede other participants. Dogs must remain leashed at all times.

Where can I park my car?
A: There is plenty of parking at Upper Canada Mall, both on the north side of the mall, as well at the southwest entrance off Davis Drive (just west of Yonge St.)

What happens if it rains on the day of the Run?
A: The event will go ahead rain or shine! If you choose not to participate because of poor weather, but wish to turn in any cash or cheque pledges, please visit the Registration Area between 7:00 am and 8:00 am on event day to hand in your pledges. Or, you can also mail in your pledges after the event to Easter Seals 10k Run, 5k Run & Walk. One Concorde Gate, Suite 700, Toronto, ON M3C 3N6. Please ensure that you include your pledge form with complete donor information for all pledges. Incorrect or missing information will prevent us from sending out a tax receipt to that donor. Please do not send cash through the mail - instead, write a personal cheque in place of cash pledges.

How will the money that I raise help Easter Seals Ontario?
A: All proceeds from the Easter Seals 10k, 5k Run & Walk go directly to Easter Seals Ontario to help children and youth with physical disabilities. Easter Seals offers programs and services to help these children achieve a greater level of acceptance and independence, such as financial assistance for mobility equipment and communication devices, fully accessible summer camp and funding for other summer recreational programs. Easter Seals also provides families with access to information and resources, as well as public education and awareness.
